Title: User Experience – Interaction Designer - Online/Mobile Solutions
Deliver creative concepts, editorial concepts, or visual design solutions in support of Bank of America online products and services offerings. Builds partnerships with technology partners to ensure defect-free implementation of client-side design solution. Designs high-level user flows, navigation systems, and detailed page schematics. Designs visual compositions and develops specifications and assets consistent with brand standards. Creates and edits content consistent with brand standards. Tests design work in production for style/quality/adherence to specifications. (Reports to Sr. Designer, Design Manager, Design Director)
As a member of Bank of America's Enterprise User Experience team, the Interaction Designer will lead multidiscipline project teams to craft world-class, digital customer experiences across online and mobile. They will help create a customer-centric vision that demonstrates new opportunities to improve and extend our current experiences, increase brand impression and develop customer loyalty. Ability to interpret customer data (analytics and usability) to determine the best user experience direction for selling and purchasing products and services.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead and contribute to the development of customer-centric designs for online and mobile that extend the Bank of America brand and surpass customer expectations.
Work closely with business partners to brainstorm, develop strategy and plans, and set clear expectations and goals to ensure that deliverables achieve the desired results.
Work with other User Experience team leads to develop and improve standards, processes and tools to improve product quality & efficiency.
Works closely with the User Experience and Customer Experience governance processes to ensure that new concepts are in line with best practices and/or viable new best practices that can be used across products, experiences and/or segments.
Deliver all projects in accordance with project timelines and overall initiative strategy.
QualificationsVision:proven experience rallying people behind a vision and ability to innovate.
Design experience:Familiarity with product design, interaction design, Human Factors, HCI, information design, or related field preferred. Must be well versed in all areas of UI design with a history of creating elegant and effective user experiences. Solid understanding of the design of web applications and services. Need to have superb information design sensibility and a sound understanding of how to leverage user research effectively.
Project management experience:At least 8 years total experience, with a minimum of 3 years leading projects with company-wide impact. Must have experience supporting multiple projects simultaneously. Proven track record in delivering world-class online products and services.
Process:Must understand user-centered design and product development processes, and use these effectively. Must be organized and able to switch rapidly between different projects in an exciting and fast-paced environment. Experience with Agile development methodologies a plus.
Quality:Demands and delivers world-class design, has incredible eye for detail.
Communication:Strong analytical and oral communication skills; excellent interpersonal and leadership skills; able to collaborate effectively with others in a cross-functional team
