As a Public Relations Manager, you will work in partnership with the Director of Public Relations to develop strategic public relations plans to secure opportunities to enhance the Lands' End brand. A key responsibility will be to act as a spokesperson for the company to position the brand positively in the marketplace. You will serve as a primary contact for all media promoting Lands' End, including the company, its business philosophy, the brand, and our unique way of doing business. Position with report to the Sr. Director, Public Relations
Position will be based in NYC
Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute successful PR campaigns to garner publicity for the Lands' End brand
Develop public relations written communications including press releases, media talking points and all other public relations and media relations communications
Continuously establish and maintain positive relationships between various internal and external stakeholders including company management, consumers, employees and media
Guide external public relations agencies when necessary to carry out public relations objectives
Partner closely with team members
Skills Successful candidates will have 7+ years of direct public relations experience
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related field.
Experience in apparel related PR, as well as corporate communications, media relations, consumer business.
5+ years managerial experience. Ability to lead, motivate and inspire self and teams within a fast-paced, high energy and creative environment
Exceptional written, verbal and media relations skills required
Experience working with social media platforms, Twitter, Facebook, blogs, etc.
Event planning and execution.
Strong fashion apparel/consumer product PR campaign experience
Proven experience and results in corporate issues, business and/or crisis communications.
Ability to interface, influence and communicate with all levels of management and groups
Strong media relationships with the ability to establish new media contacts to maximize placement opportunities
Proven initiative with the ability to make quick decisions with a good sense of judgment.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously.
Experience using PR to build a brand both internally and externally.
Proven success in leading a campaign from start to finish.
