Positions in this function include those responsible for designing/developing, programming, maintaining and publishing operational reports. Provides operational analysis utilized for decision making. May make recommendations based on the analysis, and provide explanations for reporting results as needed. May be done for internal operational purposes as well as for customers.

OptumInsight is engaged in an exciting opportunity with ten local FQHCs to provide them with support for an ACO pilot program they will enter into with Minnesota Department of Human Services. A key component of the program is managing the financial terms in the contract between the client (group of 10 FQHC clinics) and Minnesota Department of Human Services, ensuring that all terms, conditions, reports and other obligations are fulfilled. The Business Analyst will also be responsible for monitoring the budget & financial's between OptumInsight and the client. This role will have a high level of interaction with external customers, vendors and internal clients to provide updates and answer questions around financial reporting. This position will provide support to the Program Director for the client engagement.

Primary Responsibilities

Review and oversight of contracts related to client engagement, including but not limited to client contract with Minnesota Department of Human Services and contract between client and OptumInsight

Reporting on contract compliance and requirements to management, client Board of

Directors and other client committees as required

Ensure all terms and conditions of assigned contracts are met, maintaining compliance with contracts.

Identify potential issues, develop mitigation plans as appropriate, and provide recommendations to management and client

Participate in various committee meetings as required

Assist in development of reporting formats or templates to meet terms and conditions of assigned contracts

Other duties as assigned

Basic, structured, standard approach to work.

Conducting research on causes of mis-payments of claims.

Accessing SharePoint and claims databases to retrieve claims information to determine the causes for billing errors

Performing analysis of claims based on requests submitted through work queues from other teams

Creating and running queries to retrieve appropriate data sets.

Knowledge of the full claims lifecycle from submission, error resolution, through final payment.

Presentation of findings through ad hoc and standardized reports as requested by internal teams and clients.

Requirements

Proficiency with MS Excel and SharePoint

3+ of business/finance analysis experience, with strong financial modeling skills

Must be able to travel 10% of time in local metro area

Intermediate proficiency in MS Office.

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business or related field

Assets

Excellent planning, organizational and problem solving skills

Experience in quality improvement, process improvement and organizational change.

Healthcare experience strongly preferred

Experience working cross-functionally with multiple business groups
