Network Technician / Data Technician / IT Physical Layer InstallTechnician

We are looking forseveral Voice and Data Technicians to join our team.
Position open include entry level helpers, lead technicians, and project managers for commercial construction work.

We have multiple full time opportunities for techs with the right skill set.

Responsibilities

Network / Data / VoIP technicians are responsible for the following:

  • -Installation of multipair copper cat3,cat5e, cat6, cat6a and fiber optic cables
  • -Termination of multipair copper cat3, cat5e, cat6, and cat6a cables
  • -Termination and/or splicing of fiber optic cables
  • -Installation of support structure for cabling (cable tray, hooks, slings)
  • -Installation and build out of telecom, MDF, IDF rooms including racks, cable dressing, wire labeling
  • -Testing and certification of lines
  • -Installation of switchers and routers (rack and stack)
  • -Reading, interpreting, and redliningprints for new construction and remodels
  • -Providing training and instruction for up to 3 other technicians on site
  • -Maintaining a clean and safe work environment

    Qualified candidates will be able and willing to work in the following OSP/ISPcommercial construction environments
  • -Educational facilities
  • -Data centers
  • -Hospitals
  • -Office complexes
  • -Multiple Dwelling Units
  • -Clean Room environments
  • -Retail Spaces

    Training will be provided for entry level candidates
    Bicsi, OSHA, Commscope, Panduit, Leviton, AMP or other manufacturer certifications a big plus!

    We have project work for anyone with high count multi pair splicing experience.

    Candidates must have a career mindset and desire to perform well and move up in an organization
    Candidates must pass a drug screen
    Candidates must pass a criminal background check
    Candidates must be willing to work ANYWHERE in the Austin and surrounding areas
    Candidates must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
    Candidates must be able to show proof of work eligibility

    Experienced Candidates Should

    Have a working knowledge of EIA/TIA standards
    All tools relevant to the job
