Job Title: Kitchen Prep Supervisor

Summary

The Kitchen Prep Supervisor is responsible for helping to oversee the key areas of food quality, food preparation, cleanliness and safety.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Adopts and follows the mission statement and “Daily Directives.” Engages and includes guests whenever possible.
  • Ensures that product quality is maintained per company standards at all times. Recognizes and rejects food that is sub-standard per company guidelines and mission statement.
  • Dates and rotates perishable food. Reheats food per acceptable guidelines.
  • Follows procedures for preparing recipes and per company quality standards.
  • Overseeing the loading and unloading of meat in the smokers.
  • Assembles, labels and organizes bulk orders.
  • Ensures the kitchen prep list (food preparation time table) is followed on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Follows proper knife safety procedures.
  • Maintains a neat and clean work station at all times.
  • Properly stocks and prepares their work station with supplies and product, both for their shift and the one that follows, based on project sales volume.
  • Assists managers with ordering product.
  • Works closely with supervisors to help ensure proper stock levels.
  • Assists in completing par sheets and maintaining proper food levels.
  • Maintains proper communication with managers, cooks and front counter associates to ensure proper food prep levels.
  • Completes daily and weekly checklists as applicable.

    Qualifications



    High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred. Previous job experience in the current environment is preferable. Must be passionate about quality food with a focus on guest satisfaction. Able to remain calm in stressful situations. Safety-oriented.
