The current open position is with the Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) division. The Power Systems division manufactures a wide variety of transmission, distribution, substation, OEM and telecommunications products used by utilities. In addition, HPS products are used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries. Products include construction and switching products, tools, insulators, arresters, pole line hardware, cable accessories, test equipment, transformer bushings and polymer precast enclosures and equipment pads.

HPS recognized brands include Anderson, Chance, CDR, Delmar, Electro Composites, Hipotronics, Hubbell Cable Accessories, Fargo, Ohio Brass, PCORE, Polycast, Quazite and USCO with combined service to customers for more than 100 years with quality, innovative products.

Summary

Provide daily manufacturing engineering support. Develop and implement machine and assembly process improvements focused on continuously improving safety, quality, manufacturing efficiency, and reliability.

Responsibilities

Design and improve controls, fixtures, processes, layouts, and specify tools and equipment to achieve cost reductions and improved safety, quality, and reliability.

Review new product designs for manufacturability.

Specify and/or design, install, and debug tooling and capital equipment.

Manage capital projects from start to completion.

Troubleshoot manufacturing, quality, and assembly issues using root cause analysis and other Lean techniques.

Improve existing processes and revise associated documentation.

Provide manufacturing engineering support.

Requirements

BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.

2 to 5 years manufacturing experience in a lean and "hands on" environment.

Allen Bradley controls experience required.

SolidWorks, Microsoft Access, and Visual Basic experience is a plus.

Limited travel required.
