This position is responsible for installing and demonstrating TRUMPF's CNC laser machines for customers. Troubleshoot and repair machines with problems functioning. Train customers in the use and repair of these machines. Install and demonstrate TRUMPF CNC TruLaser product machine primarily at customer locations. Resolve high level technical machine and operational problems for customers and utilize remote diagnostics to assist customers. Must understand technical documentation, schematics and blueprints, as to utilize them in telephone support. Accurately identify machine problems from the information from the field, consolidate this information and report these problems to the appropriate people and departments. Extensive travel up to customers' facilities under the direction of the SCC Manager up to 100%, including overnight travel, international travel and throughout North America is required.

Report discrepancies, unresolved or recurrent problems to the SCC Manager and provide regular feedback to R&D, Engineering and Production departments. Communicate with customers and other TRUMPF personnel in accordance with company standards

Train customers in use and repair of TRUMPF machines in a complete and organized manner.

Assist other Field Service Engineers as directed

Requirements

Must have extensive product knowledge of the TruCoax Laser and TruLaser 1030 and 2030 products. Three – five years experience as a TRUMPF Field Service Engineer, Technical Support Engineer, or equivalent technical experience. Two-year technical degree with a concentration in Engineering principles, or suitable combination of education and work experience. Must be able to lift 50 lbs without aid.
