Position Overview

The Safety Manager II will plan, organize and implement the TIC Safety Management Program at industrial construction projects, demonstrating the ability to manage all aspects of a safety program. The Safety Manager II may be the lead safety manager on a project, or may report directly to another safety manager. The Safety Manager II will demonstrate skills of a Safety Manager III, with progressively increasing responsibility and authority.

Education/Training/Experience

The Safety Manager II will have a minimum of 3 years on construction projects managing safety or a related area. He/she must have demonstrated the ability to manage all aspects of a safety program on projects of increasing complexity.

Must have knowledge of MSHA/OSHA regulations and hazard recognition, record keeping and injury management skills, and written and verbal communication skills. Should have CPR/First Aid or EMT certification, on-the-job experience managing a project safety program, and training experience. Certification as an OSHA, MSHA, and Medic First Aid instructor is preferred. A high school diploma or GED is required. The preferred candidate will have or be working towards Professional certification (CSP, CIH, CHST, OHST, CMSP, etc.)
