Sr. IT Project Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the successful management, execution, control and delivery of large strategic/enterprise projects completing them on time, on budget and within scope.
- Assist Technical Leads and other analyst in completing Business Requirements
- Coordinates and manages resources for multiple projects across the company. This includes project planning, reporting, and monitoring the projects for resource contention and cost.
- Plans and leads and/or participates in development projects that vary in complexity including the business aspect of analysis, design, development, testing, training, and implementation efforts.
- Conforms to and advocatesclient project management standards and processes, including change control and issue management.
- Resolves issues, proactively evaluates project activities, builds contingency plans, executes corrective actions when necessary and monitors issue resolution to mitigate project risks.
- Define, monitor, execute, and control projects through the project development lifecycle.
- Facilitate the completion of IT deliverables as required by the Project Management Methodology. These deliverables include but are not limited to: project kickoff, business requirements, training plans, testing plans, business case and scope documents, project schedules, detail design documents and project closure documents.
- Complete PM Deliverables required by the Project Management Methodology.
- Work with assigned technical leads as needed to complete project deliverables.
Qualifications
- 4-6+ years experience in an IT project management role with demonstrated skills in relationship building, negotiation, vendor management,conflict resolution, and project management of large, complex, and or enterprise wide projects.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Exceptional oral and written communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently or in a team, set priorities and meet deadlines on multiple projects.
- Experience managing a project with a project team size averaging 8-12 full time equivalents.
- Proven people, communication and organization skills.
- Ability to work independently or in a team, set priorities and meet deadlines on multiple projects.
- Can demonstrate a command of project management methodology and its practical application towards completing work.
- Can demonstrate strong negotiation, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Is creative and assertive.
- 3+ years experience of Microsoft Project
Preferred Qualifications
- 4-year degree or equivalent job experience and project management certification. PMP Certification preferred.
- Experience in Software Development.
