The successful candidate will need to be able to manage workload effectively, and handle several accounting projects at one time and provide status to responsible parties. There will be 8-12 hours per week in our office over two days per week, with a flexible schedule.

Position Details

  • Managing month end account reconciliation schedules and journal entries.
  • Maintaining accounts by verifying, allocating and posting transactions.
  • Creating customer invoices.
  • Conducting full cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks.
  • Executing accounting tasks via QuickBooks.
  • General bank reconciliation
  • Booking manual journal entries into the accounting system.

  • We Prefer That You

  • Have a minimum of 2-4 years experience as an independent bookkeeper for a startup or in an early stage entrepreneurial environment.
  • Must be extremely proficient in QuickBooks.
  • Are competent in bank, credit card and paypal reconciliation.
  • Posses strong vendor/ AP management.
  • Have strong competency in excel.
  • Must understand basic financial/payroll statements.
  • Have an accounting degree, this is hghly preferred.
  • Are a self starter who can work with little or no supervision.
  • Energetic and detailed oriented with a respect for confidentiality.
