The Holiday Inn at the Richmond Airport/Shamin Hotels is seeking a high energy, hard working and skilled Kitchen Supervisor/Cook to start immediately. The qualified candidate will be responsible for providing preparation and cooking for the bar, restaurant and banquets. Line cooks wanting to move up are invited to apply. Due to the nature of the hotel being open 24/7, candidate must have flexible availability to work weekends as well as holidays as needed. The Ideal Candidate Will Possess The Following

To qualify for the Kitchen Supervisor position, the ideal candidate will possess the following

• Experience as a Kitchen Supervisor is a must
• Hotel Kitchen experience is preferred
• Must be available to work weekends as well as weekdays
• Inventory experience needed
• Ability to effectively order supplies and keep proper inventory on hand
• Excellent Menu Management skills
• Must be able to manage labor and schedule staff
• Budgeting Experience necessary
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team

Example Job Duties Include But Are Not Limited To

• Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and workers
• Monitor the quantity and quality of food that is prepared
• Ensure proper portion, arrangement and food garnish to be served
• Handle, store and rotate all products properly, making sure all are within proper shelf life
• Assist Cooks and Kitchen Staff with various tasks
• Provide cooks with needed items
• Monitor stock of kitchen supplies and food
• Maintain kitchen logs for food safety program and food products
• Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining and motivating and coaching employees.
• Follow all company, safety and security policies and procedures
• Report accidents, injuries, incidents and unsafe work conditions
• Cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products to adhere to health standards
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by upper management
