Veterinary Technician

Advanced Veterinary Care Center (AVCC) is a multi-specialty referral veterinary hospital serving veterinarians and pet owners throughout Southern California. We also provide emergency care and services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our medical staff consists of board certified specialists in cardiology, internal medicine, oncology, surgery, and a specialist in acupuncture and herbal medicine. AVCC's missionis to provide high quality, compassionate care to its patients and exceptional service to clients and referring veterinarians.

AVCC's main facility is located in the City of Lawndale - 'The Heart of the Southbay'. We also provide cardiology services in the San Fernando Valley and Tustin. Our facilities are state-of-the-art and we offer the latest laboratory, radiographic and diagnostic equipment and procedures.

We are seekingexperiencedVeterinary Technicians (registered orunregistered)forthe evening shift and weekends.We are alsosearching fora technician toassist our patient care coordinator(days ) coordinating care for ourinpatients and an experienced Evening ShiftCoordinator to oversee evening shift operations and technician staff. The ideal candidates will beable todemonstrate proficiency in all aspects of basic and advanced animal care to include, but not limited to: animal restraint, administering oral and injectable treatments,placing IV catheters, taking x-rays, drawing blood,running lab tests,and operating and maintaining diagnostic equipment. Previous specialty or emergency experience isdesirable.Thesuccessful candidate willbe compassionate about working with animals, work well with others,possess strong work ethics, and be able to work independently and provide supportto interns and doctors in the care and treatment of animals under our care.

Job Requirements

• Veterinary Techniciansday,evenings and weekends 4-5 yrs experience.
  
• Evening Shift Coordinator requires previous lead orhead techexperience
  
• Previous emergency/specialty experience desirable
  
• High school graduation required;some college preferred
  
• Team player with a 'Can do attitude'
