Our client, located in Memphis, TN is looking for Line Mechanics and Maintenance Packaging Technicians for a 2-3 month, 2nd and 3rd shift contract positions.

Line Mechanics- Essential Functions

• Independently operate, changeover, and maintain production lines. Be responsible for product quality and employee safety.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Possess the knowledge and skills necessary to troubleshoot the more difficult mechanical and electrical problems on all production lines. Must be available to resolve such problems whenever they occur.
  
• Responsible for leading set-up and/or troubleshooting teams in identification and elimination of barriers to improving results.
  
• Responsible for completing assigned work orders in a timely manner.
  
• Must effectively accomplish the following task requirements for multiple production lines, with no supervision and/or assistance:
  
  • Consistently meet standard production outputs with standard production crewing.
    
  • Troubleshoot all normal mechanical and electrical difficulties during the course of production.
    
  • Maintain specified targets, weights, torques, and overall product quality at all times.
    
  • Complete all necessary documentation according to Good Manufacturing Practices.
    
  • Completely and independently change the production lines over from one product to another, with a quick and effective line startup.
    
  • Work with the Group Leader and entire production team to ensure an efficient and safe working environment.
  
  
• Maintain a clean and safe production line or work area at all times.
  
• Comply with plant safety standards, GMPs, current standard practices, and all other plant policies/rules.
  
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain the required documentation of all packaging equipment as required. Removed( the required documentation of)
  
• Must be able to train other Mechanics in the area of machine operation, troubleshooting and changeovers.
  
• Assist with any and all jobs on the packaging line when required.
  
• Participate in CI team meetings. Develop and encourage a high level of employee involvement and continuous improvement.
  
• Contribute to the evaluation process for other Mechanics
  
• Perform and record preventative maintenance on all packaging equipment.
  
• Will be required to work directly with engineering staff or customers on existing product issues or new product startups.
  
• Must be able to perform major mechanical and electrical overhauls of packaging equipment.

Education/Training Required

• Must have at least 8 years industrial multi-craft maintenance experience or equivalent.
  
• Must have training in industrial maintenance technology or equivalent.

• Must be able to pass testing requirements administered by the Human Resources and Maintenance Department.
  
• Must demonstrate advanced team skills in the areas of conflict resolution, team decision-making, leadership, group dynamics and communication.
  
• Must be able to rapidly learn and apply new technologies on an ongoing basis.
  
• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.

Maintenance Packaging Technicians- Essential Functions

• Master resource, including troubleshooting on at least two major mechanical technology groups and technical resource on other similar technologies.
  
• Lead in the following areas: definition and documentation of standards and procedures relating to mechanical systems, site priority setting for areas of technical mastery and training for site users of mechanical systems; will also lead project installation, support maintenance activities and improvements to the mechanical systems in their area.
  
• Have ability to operate, changeover, and maintain all production lines. Be responsible for product quality and employee safety.
  
• Must demonstrate advanced team skills in the areas of Conflict Resolution, Team Decision Making, Leadership, Group Dynamics and Communication.
