Our client is a global manufacturer and assembler of hydraulics, cylinders, gears for a variety of industrial industries is currently looking for a Plant Manager / General Manager. The Plant Manager is responsible for the overall effectiveness of day-to-day manufacturing operations in accordance with policies, principles and procedures established by the Company.

  • Recommends improvements to processes, products, services, or procedures
  • Participates in the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the company quality system and is responsible for improving the quality of products and services provided by the department, including training for same
  • Responsible for compliance with outside agencies for safety and environmental concerns
  • Works closely with and maintains good working relations with employees in all areas, contractors, and vendors to ensure the plant is maintained in a safe, efficient, and professional manner
  • Supervises a staff of production supervisors and maintenance personnel to include Process Engineers and other technical staff
  • Responsible for training and development of personnel
  • Staffing levels and labor tracking
  • Provides coaching and training for employee development to insure that the companys goals are achieved and/or exceeded
  • Conducts performance evaluations of direct reports

Requirements

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of ten years experience in plant management in industrial assembly manufacturing with experience in casting, metal forming, tooling
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong leadership abilities to motivate and guide employee development inboth management and hourly classifications
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and prioritize tasks/projects based on business needs
