Undergraduate degree in Accounting/Economics/Mathematics/Statistics
1-3 years related industry experience
Working knowledge of financial markets with previous exposure to Fixed Income markets and/or analysis gained through a combination of work and educational qualification is required
Basic understanding of Fixed Income trading procedures and broader regulatory and financial concepts
Series 7 and 63 required or attained within 6 months.

BMO Capital Markets is currently searching for a Sales Assistant to support its Milwaukee office. The Sales Assistant reports to the Vice President and Sales Assistant Manager, Fixed Income U.S. and provides day-to-day support to the Sales function. The Sales Assistant's activities include balancing accounts, preparing reports for auditing, and researching issues. The Sales Assistant's objective is to know all activities of the financing area in order to assist the traders and provide coverage in their absence. This role has both customer and broker contact.1) Sales Support
Answer phones and complete documentation such as sales tickets and other sales forms for the trading, sales, and underwriting personnel in order to facilitate order flow.
Process sales/purchase tickets through the trading management system, perform calculations, and check information for accuracy.
Provide support to the sales staff in balancing their accounts, preparing reports for auditing, and researching issues
Distribute the daily offering worksheets so that colleagues have current, up-to-date information.2) Operational Support
Prepare financial reports for customers
Assist customers with inquiries and help to resolve problems that occur to ensure client satisfaction.
Investigate issues that occur and make the appropriate adjustments to resolve the problem and assure the customer/management that it has been resolved.
Ensure that transactions adhere to Bank policies and controls when processing securities and follow operational guidelines on trading limits.
