Position Description

CGI Federal is seeking qualified applicants for on-site customer support to U.S. Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM) located near Fort Meade, MD. USCYBERCOM is a USSTRATCOM Component whose mission is to operate and defend the Department of Defense (DoD) Global Information Grid (GIG). More specifically, "USCYBERCOM plans, coordinates, integrates, synchronizes and conducts activities to: direct the operations and defense of specified Department of Defense information networks and; prepare to, and when directed, conduct full spectrum military cyberspace operations in order to enable actions in all domains, ensure US/Allied freedom of action in cyberspace and deny the same to our adversaries." The qualified applicant will help provide CGI Federal's support to USCYBERCOM in the execution of current Computer Network Defense (CND) and Information Assurance (IA) policies and procedures, with the goal of assured information availability, protection, and delivery in order to enable decision superiority to the warfighter. The applicant will be involved in a wide range of CND and IA activities related to the secure operation of the GIG.

    Designs, develops, troubleshoots, debugs, and implements software code (such as HTML,
    CGI and Javascript) for components of the website. Works with graphic designers and other members of
    a project team to develop the site concept, interface design, and architecture of the website. Responsible
    for interface implementation. Requires strong navigation and site design instincts.

    The Web Designer will provide web development, management and systems engineering support to network and Web-based initiative functions of the Government, executed in real time in accordance with mission requirements. Maintain Government World Wide Web (WWW) sites, both classified and unclassified, that provides linkage to other IA program information. The Web Designer will also develop and propose for Government approval lead-in web pages categorizing information on a functional basis to ensure the satisfaction of user requirements.

    The Web designer will implement web page updates within 48 hours following an information or technical change order. Provide database administration, related information security, and maintenance as-needed in support of these web sites. Respond in the event of an exercise, crisis or contingency, providing Service Desk support and systems administration of user accounts on both the Government's classified and unclassified systems. Provide support for Knowledge Management systems through site development, design, implementation and integration with current systems. Provide expertise to review functional requirements with other technical experts for feasibility in implementing the SharePoint or other solutions for the USCBYERCOM to include requirements analysis. Contractor shall review functional requirements for feasibility and provide recommendations to the Government on implementing solutions. Contractor shall identify and recommend business processes.

  • Active Top Secret / SCI Clearance; CI-Polygraph eligibility
  • Understand and develop in accordance with 508 compliance.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical and programmatic information, often in the form of verbal and visual operational updates, situation reports, and briefings.

  • Strong Writing and Presentation Skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team setting.
  • Bachelors degree and 5 years relevant experience. 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Requires technical writing, preparation and delivery of briefings Attendance at conference and seminars, and scheduling and coordination meetings/deliverables,
  • Provide direct support to Government action officers in creating and coordinating Cyber courses of action based on developed requirements.
  • Must possess a relevant industry standard certification in accordance with the DoD 8570 series of regulations at the Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Category Level II or higher
  • Knowledge and experience with DoD Combatant Commands, Military Services, Agencies, and Field Activities operations and missions.
  • Experience interpreting, applying and advising others on DOD IA/CND policies, guidance, and regulations.
  • B.S. Degree in computer/engineering related field.
  • Compliance with DoD Directive 8570.01 (CISSP or IAM III/ IAT III certification)
