Position Summary

Collaborate with Operations' Leadership, cross-functional teams and the Loss Prevention (LP) team to integrate loss prevention into all locations' strategies, activities, and decision making processes resulting in the prevention of loss related to property, assets, data, information, and product inventory while maintaining 100% compliance with all agency regulations and company policies.

Major Responsibilities

  • Ensures strategies, policies, procedures, performance metrics and goals are implemented
  • Provides effective LP training – train the trainers
  • Performs site evaluations – validation of compliance with strategies, policies, procedures
  • Performs risk assessments – determine how to control risk to acceptable levels regarding new; locations, business, products, services
  • Identifies physical security vulnerabilities and make recommendations for improvement
  • Monitors Loss Prevention performance and ensure/assist with the development of corrective/improvement plans to address deficiencies
  • Ensures cycle counts and physical inventories are conducted properly and in accordance with the required frequency/schedule
  • Resolves actual or potential security or loss breaches
  • Ensures compliance with import and export requirements for security and protection established by Company policy and procedures for border crossing and port operations
  • Other projects as assigned by the Manager

  • Required

  • 3-5 years loss prevention management experience in the supply chain management industry – includes transportation, warehousing and inventory control
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Security, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Risk Management, or related field
  • Knowledge of basic security and loss prevention techniques
  • Proficiency with product inventory control technology and techniques
  • Knowledge of protective security devices and systems such as alarms, closed circuit television systems, and automated access control systems
  • Effective communication skills, written and verbal
  • Effective team building skills
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Flexibility regarding travel – including some weekends
  • Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.

  • Preferred

  • WMS and ERP System Knowledge
  • Knowledge of US and Canadian customs compliance programs (C-TPAT, CSA, FAST)
  • Loss Prevention Qualified (LPQ)
  • Certified Forensic Interviewer (CFI)
  • Loss Prevention Certified (LPC)
