Job Description
The role of the Loss Prevention Investigator is to deter shrinkage and to investigate all cases of potential theft and fraud. Additionally, the Loss Prevention Investigator will provide physical security and protection to Brooks Brothers associates and corporate offices to ensure an honest, safe and secure work environment.
Key Accountabilities
- Maintain general safety of customers, associates, store and corporate offices.
- Conduct surveillance to prevent theft, and when necessary, apprehend dishonest persons according to current Loss Prevention and Company policies.
- Monitor, operate and inspect security and safety equipment, including company alarm, access control and CCTV systems.
- Respond to emergency situations and communicate between departments and agencies to come to a quick resolution of each incident.
- Conduct investigations and complete all incident and investigation reports.
- Physically open and close store and corporate offices each business day.
- Monitor associate and visitor entrance at Madison Avenue side door and conduct bag/package inspection.
- Educate store team regarding shoplifting prevention, security awareness and data integrity.
Skills/Requirements
- Experience in proven investigative, loss prevention and security procedures in a retail environment.
- Ability to interact and communicate with associates and customers in a professional manner.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Explorer.
