Job Purpose
Creates user information solutions by developing, implementing, and maintaining Java based components and interfaces.
The Java Developer will be working on projects for HRIS Systems, Dashboards, EMR Systems, website design initiatives and many other healthcare related projects.
Job Duties
Define site objectives by analyzing user requirements; envisioning system features and functionality.
Design and develop user interfaces to internet/intranet applications by setting expectations and feature priorities throughout the software development life cycle
Recommend system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development and purchase alternatives.
Create multimedia applications by using authoring tools.
Complete application development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities
Contribute to team meetings;
Support users by developing documentation and assistance tools
Update job knowledge by researching new internet/intranet technologies and software products; participate in educational opportunities, networking and professional organizations to help better personal knowledge
Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requestsRequired Skills / Knowledge
Must have a solid understanding of how software development work impacts the organization???s infrastructure and security
Experience determining design methodologies and tool sets; completing programming using languages and software products; designing and conducting tests.
Experience troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.
Experience Integrating applications by designing database architecture and server scripting; studying and establishing connectivity with network systems, search engines, and information servers.
Experience programming in Windows and Linux environments a plus

Education / Certifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related area of studyRequirements
