Basic Functions

  • Create clean, maintainable, and accessible designs for Web-based applications and Web sites.
  • Apply standards for the look-and-feel of Web projects and shares responsibility for ensuring our audiences have a quality online experience.
  • Design for multiple browser and platforms. Serve as champion and advocate for best practices and usability.
  • Utilize design skills to reinforce the Company's brand image. Manage and make updates from business units to corporate web sites including internet, intranet, and extranet sites.

  • Essential Job Functions

  • Creates original conceptual design, graphics and icons for Web Projects (Corporate Internet, Extranet and Intranet sites).
  • Designs prototypes, Web interfaces and Web-based interactions.
  • Designs, evaluates and implements Web interfaces utilizing user-centered design principles.
  • Works closely with developers, marketing, sales and product teams to create and measure online User Experiences and reinforce the Company's brand image.
  • Collaborates with team members on day-to-day design direction.
  • Creates, designs and produces interactive presentations, games, e-learning lessons or promotional commercials for distribution on the Web.
  • Solid design experience, with an understanding of layout, typography and color.
  • Follows Web coding and style standards and guidelines.
  • Ability to operate under time constraints; comfortable working in a team environment.

  • Minimum Requirements

  • 1-4 years of hands-on Web design experience
  • Advanced knowledge of User Interface (UI) best practices
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Proficiency in the entire Adobe Creative Suite
  • Understanding of Web Analytics
  • Creative problem-solver with a strong attention to detail
  • Effective written communications skills, with knowledge of writing/editing for the Web
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Team-oriented, but also able to work independently
