This position is responsible for all of the information technology infrastructure activities at WellStar Health System's operating units and Support Centers. Specific responsibilities include participation in the development and implementation of WellStar's information technology strategic plan, system-wide IT standards, and budgets. This executive leads the work of site implementation teams to ensure synergy and cooperation between site and core WellStar IT infrastructure functions. In addition, this position provides the link between site executive leadership and the corporate information information system function and leads site efforts to utilize technology to increase productivity, improve operational efficiency, and further the organization's communication and integration of clinical and financial information through a comprehensive information network.

The Vice President of Technology Services reports directly to the Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer and is also directly accountable to the Business Leaders of multiple operating units. Reporting to the incumbent are site teams consisting of managers, project leaders, business analysts and network engineers. Vice President of Technology Servicesleads the efforts of the Information Systems staff to provide leadership and expertise in the strategic application of information technology, and its acquisition and management, to ensure optimal utilization of WellStar's IT infrastructure.

Education

BS or BA Degree in CIS, MIS, IT,
Business or related field. MBA
Preferred.

Experience

Fifteen years of Information Systems
experience within healthcare field.

management and proven leadership.
