The Intelligence Systems Business Unit of SAIC has a career opportunity for an Operations Research Analyst in Columbia, Maryland. This position requires a current and active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance for consideration.

Job Summary

The Operations Research Analyst will work in a team environment to analyze and resolve operational inconsistencies using mathematical and simulation models. The overall program provides information research, systems analysis, decision analysis, operations research, software evaluations, full life-cycle software development, and modeling and simulation. The classified government organization seeks formal quantitative analytical methods and techniques in support of the entire enterprise operations.

Job Responsibilities

Conduct analyses of management and operational problems.

Formulate mathematical and simulation models.

Apply statistical tests to validate information.

Perform validation and testing of models to ensure accuracy and determine the need for reformulation.

Prepare reports to define and evaluate a problem and provide possible solutions where necessary.

Design and evaluate operational models where limited data is available.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering or Management Science with 10+ years of related experience in the analyses of management/operational problems using Operations Research techniques. A Master's degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering or Management Science may be substituted for 2 years of experience.

4+ years in the application of modeling and simulation of Decision Analysis problems.

4+ years using at least five of the following tools; @RISK, EXTEND, EXCEL, ARENA, GAMS, VENSIM, SPLEX, EXTEND-SIM, SAS, NETICA, LOGICAL DECISIONS, SIAM, MATLAB or SPSS.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Computer Network Operations, Information Assurance. and SIGINT.
