Description
Science Applications International Corporation is seeking a talented Operations Research Analyst with professional experience to join our Shalimar, Florida office. We have exciting and growing opportunities to conduct analysis of and plan for energy generation, distribution, and monitoring of large facilities as well as cost benefit and sustainability analyses of new construction and renovations. Additionally, we are adding energy sustainability analyses to our traditional physical and environmental planning functions. The position involves researching and analyzing energy generation, distribution, and consumption over time; generating cost benefit analysis for energy savings; writing planning documents and proposals; and participating actively in the business development and execution of planning, environmental analysis and design processes of federal, state, municipal and commercial properties. Assignments will include developing, designing, performing and documenting a broad range of operations research analyses involving current and projected pricing, production, distribution, and consumption of energy. You will, evaluate and propose analytic approaches; prepare draft and final findings based on research and testing of hypotheses. You also will develop plans for building, maintaining, and enhancing energy models in support of analytic studies and agency projections. The candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to operate independently. CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: Must be able to obtain a secret security clearance.
Desired Experience
Prior experience with Army or Air Force is desired. Candidate should have exceptional computer skills with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project and working knowledge of ESRI software.
Required Education/Skills
Master's degree in planning, economics, or a related engineering field. Knowledge of the full range of operations research analysis techniques. Ability to originate new ideas, projects, studies, and methodologies. Ability to design, and use models and simulation techniques. Expert knowledge of complex and subjects and industrial operations and practices under study so that conclusions reflect real world environments.
