The Navy Marine Corps Customer Group has an opportunity for a Junior Information Assurance Specialist to support our Honolulu, HI facility. This is a contingent position with an award expected in the Fall of 2013.

Job Description

The Junior Information Assurance Specialist will

support security testing and certification (e.g., DIACAP, DoDD 8500.1, etc.) developing information support plans (ISPs). The Junior Information Assurance Specialist must possess a good understanding of Information Assurance concepts, practices and procedures within the Windows Operating System Computing Environment. In addition, must be organized, have excellent record keeping skills and have the ability to analyze technical/administrative problems, develop optional solutions, and implement the selected solution. The Junior Information Assurance Specialist must have strong oral and written skills in writing and presenting findings and recommendations.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in IT, Information Assurance or a relevant discipline. 4 years of IT and Information Asssurance /security work experience can be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Experience in information security management as implemented in accordance with DON policies and instructions. Mid-level knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word.

Certifications: Per DOD Information Assurance Workforce requirements, position requires Security

  • certification.

    Ability to teach technical security to non-technical personnel

    Project management experience

    Active Secret Clearance is required
