My husband and I are looking for a nanny for our 2 children. I work midnights as an ER nurse and he works days as a police officer. The nanny would need to be at our house in Sterling Heights at 5:30 a.m., drop off the children at school which is 1 minute away, then pick up the children before 6 p.m. from Monday to Friday. My stepson is there 2 weekends out of the month. We need a reliable person to arrive at at home at 530 a.m. and wake the children up at 8:00 a.m. and get them ready for school. My 9-year-old does her own care, she just needs to be monitored. School starts at 8:50 which is one minute away. My 4-year-old goes to daycare which is 5 Min away. Both children need to be picked up by 5:30 p.m. Once school is out, we need the nanny to work 5:30 a.m. until my husband comes home from work. He has a set schedule so this will not be 7 days a week. During the summer, we don't want the children in the house all day. Our current nanny is pregnant and does not want to leave but due to medical reasons she has to. Again, my husband has a set schedule which is easier to explain by phone/interview.
