JITC Site Lead / Program Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt

Summary

Provide support for local area network architecture and administration to JITC. Must have a current TS/SCI and be CISSP Certified. Additionally, this position will provide GCCS, C2PC, C4S, UNIX, and UNIX variants (i.e., HPUX, AIX, Ultrix, etc) software technical and system administration.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Work efforts on multiple local area networks and oversee the analysis of network traffic and conduct performance tuning.
  • Test, install, and upgrade network hardware/software/firmware, to include: IPS, IDS, firewall configuration & administration and content filters.
  • Operate and maintain IT systems to include all software and hardware associated with mainframe on CPUs, PC-client/server, network backbone-front-end processors and all networks (MILNET, NIPRNET, SIPRNET)
  • Resolve issues and problems concerning COP, operational and tactical databases, network services, routing, network performance and protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, SNMP and SMTP.
  • Develop and/or install and support/maintain patches.
  • Integrate COTS, GOTS, and locally generated software into existing systems, maintain data files, and monitor system configuration to ensure data integrity.
  • Perform technical studies and simulations of proposed development efforts to ensure that the design will meet user requirements.
  • Troubleshoot WAN connectivity issues, network architecture and infrastructure.
  • Diagnose and resolve network problems and monitor network capacity and throughput.
  • Configure and optimize network management servers, routers, and switches and develop network backup and recovery procedures.
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet operational needs.

    Education And/or Experience

    Bachelors Degree with 5 years experience on COP, GCCS, C2PC and associated software; system administration to include UNIX operating systems; Solaris, SUNOS, HP-UX is desirable. Additional relevant experience can be substituted for formal education.

    Computer Skills

    5-7 years experience in IPS, IDS, firewalls, network monitoring, LANS, performance tuning, routers, switches, configuration/administration of network.

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: CISSP preferred.
