Chicago office seeks intellectual property and technology counsel having 8-11 years of relevant experience. The candidate will counsel, review and negotiate a wide variety of IP and technology agreements including licenses, technology procurement (both from vendor and customer side), service level, service provider, distribution and reseller, outsourcing, strategic alliance and joint venture, website development, hosting, website management, and merchandise procurement agreements. Assist with IP and technology litigation. Prepare and file copyright applications for all manner of works (e.g., software, websites, visual arts, literary works, music), and prepare and file copyright recordation documents. Counsel clients on copyright ownership/licensing issues. Bar license in IL is required. Trademark portfolio management experience including selection of marks and managing domestic and international filing and opposition programs a plus. Experience with privacy and data security contracts, litigation and counseling would be a plus.
