Description

Position: Fire Support Equipment Instructor(Open & Continuous)

Location: Fort Sill, OK

Summary: Instruct lieutenants and captains in FA BOLC and the FA CCC. No travel, all training done at Fort Sill.

Duties And Responsibilities

Instruct and evaluate Assignment Oriented Training (AOT) focusing on the Bradley Fire Support Team Vehicle (BFIST) following a set POI and lesson plan

Instruct using the Call for Fire (CFF) Trainer in support of FA CCC and BOLC-B, and teach Fire Support equipment tasks

Experience

Served in an assignment to a U.S. Army (or Marine) Battalion as a Fire Support Sergeant

Served as a Service School Instructor

Recent experience as a Fire Support Sergeant

Education

Graduate of the 13F ANCOC or equivalent school

Expertise in the operation of the BFIST, Lightweight Laser Designator Rangefinder (LLDR), Fire Support Sensor System (FS3), VIPER Laser Rangefinder, and be able to operate all equipment in a field environment

Other (Desired)

Experience working in theater during OIF/OEF or in a deployment to Kosovo/Bosnia; or recent operational experience serving in one of the core elements, supporting elements, or related activities associated with fire support sergeant duties
