Job Description

The Account Supervisor serves as the advocate for the client when within the agency and the advocate for the agency with the client. They are ultimately accountable for the client relationship, success, growth and profitability of their assigned accounts.

Client Relations

Thoroughly understands clients' business, competition, market trends and available research; can translate this understanding into actionable, executable plans for the core team members

Stays current with client products and services via relevant corporate and media outlets

Engages with clients at the onset of a new campaign, program or project to gain insight and understanding into the overall opportunity/need. Helps define the framework of the assignment for core team members.

Brings together appropriate discipline/department personnel for discovery calls/meetings with client (if required)

Plans, schedules and leads project briefing with team

Manages program/project profitability by negotiating statements of work

Partners with departmental leads from program/project initiation through completion to ensure all work will achieve an outcome that meets and exceeds clients' expectations profitably within

Business Growth And Development

Engages, maintains and grows a portfolio of business

Contributes to the development of a yearly client plan in support of Account Director and/or Sr. Account Supervisor as assigned

Forges trusting relationships with clients and the agency team

Supports new business proposals by evaluating and approving scope details, estimated budgets, assumptions and timelines

Lead proposal and pitch efforts with new and existing clients

Agency Management

Reviews and approves estimates; estimates must be approved by Account Directors and/or Sr. Account Supervisor as assigned, obtains signed estimates for all projects before they startFiscal management: budget monitoring, accurate and timely billingLead internal and client meetings with defined agendas and expected outcomesWorks collaboratively with assigned program/project teams
