Position Purpose

The qualified candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, supporting and auditing the Connecticut Decentralized Analyzer System (CDAS) emission testing equipment and related peripherals used in the Connecticut Motor Vehicle Emissions Inspection Program.

Duties And

  • Performs maintenance, repair and calibrations on I/M station OBD/TSI test
  • Performs maintenance, repair and calibrations on County OBD/TSI test
  • Install and remove OBD/TSI test equipment in I/M
  • Sells consumable items and spare parts to test
  • Logs, tracks and accounts for all inventory used and sold off of maintenance
  • Cleans and maintains company supplied tools and
  • Promotes vehicle inspection
  • Assumes other duties as assigned by management.

    • Knowledge And

  • Experience in emissions measurement systems maintenance and calibrations
  • Familiarity with operating electronics equipment and PC operating systems is
  • Must have good organization and planning
  • Able to stoop, bend, reach and
  • Knowledge of data communication
  • Strong verbal, written, organizational and interpersonal
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

  • Associates Degree in Electronics Technology, Engineering or other related field or equivalent training (Bachelors a
  • 2 years experience in a technical maintenance position.
