Currently, we are seeking a Project Manager/Systems Engineer of Application Support to act as technical consultant for internal IT business teams to plan, design, implement, and support technologies and serves as an expert in technical fields of knowledge for a Direct Hire opportunity with our Media, PA area client.

Responsibilities

Participates in the design and implementation of new application and data infrastructure in pursuit of security, reliability, availability, and performance of solutions based upon business requirements

Analyzes and defines system configuration, hardware, software and associated utilities

Integrates enterprise-wide tools for automating, monitoring and managing the current and future technology environments

Establishes a performance baseline; Monitors system performance and tunes for peak performance

Administers, supports, and maintains infrastructure components; Troubleshoots high-level problems and documents procedures to guide resolution process

Develops, documents, implements, and maintains system management strategies, policies and procedures; including security, support, training, and installation procedures

Recommends, designs, implements, and supports infrastructure integration into business solutions, while meeting the business goals and objectives. This includes supporting documentation and diagrams detailing the specific infrastructure

Leads and/ or participates in Information Technology related projects; Drives medium size projects enlisting technical resources where necessary

Develops production support models designed to enhance response times and maintain high availability of all production infrastructure components and systems

Identifies and implements improvements to technology to proactively manage support

Examines and re-engineers these activities and related business processes in order to facilitate reporting and meet established business requirements/guidelines

Performs audits as required to ensure PCI compliance

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a technical discipline (e.g., engineering) preferred

7+ years of related work experience

Minimum of 3+ years of experience operating and managing in a 10,000

  • PC client server environment, with 40 or more Windows server

    Must know DBA and SQL

    Proven project management skills with excellent analytical abilities

    Achieve certifications in multiple appropriate strategic technologies: Oracle administration, MSSQL administration, SharePoint administration

    Exposure to infrastructure design, implementation and support

    Information architecture and taxonomy of SharePoint and RDBMS

    Exposure to appropriate support and management solutions: SharePoint administration, Oracle database administration, MSSQL database administration, PDS\Vista application systems , Basic knowledge of MySQL, Scripting and automation of routine SharePoint Administration and provisioning tasks, Ability to design and architect an enterprise SharePoint environment (physical and logical), NET Framework Knowledge, ASP.Net Knowledge, PowerShell Knowledge, Hadoop, NoSQL

    Knowledge of Security Technologies and standards (PCI) and standard support frameworks (e.g., ITIL)

    Proven project management skills Knowledge of standard support frameworks (e.g., ITIL)

    • Strong Vendor Management Skills

    Offers technical expertise, feedback or advice as a valuable resource to others

    Ability to project cloud based infrastructure requirements in a timely manner to manage costs effectively

    In negotiating cloud based solutions to guarantee data security and have the ability to bring hosted solutions in-house or to another provider
