Description

Brayman Construction Corporation is a leading General and Specialty Foundation Contractor incorporated in 1947. Currently we have become a $175 Million nationally recognized provider of complex heavy/civil, geotechnical, marine, steel erection and demolition capabilities.

We currently seek a Site Safety Representative (3-5 years experience) to work initially on a USACE dam project in Dover, OH area.

3-5+ years of heavy civil infrastructure experience (dams, roads/bridges) is a MUST!!

Candidates should be local or close to the area or willing to relocate/travel! Once again we are seeking mid level experienced Safety professionals.

Requirements

Individual selected must have 2+ years of experience in the heavy civil infrastructure world of dams, roads and bridges and must have viable crane/rigging exposure! Also required is a minimum of 3 years of safety experience in the general heavy civil construction world. Other experience DOES NOT qualify for this opening!

OSHA 10-30 a must and OSHA 500 a big plus as desired individual wil be able to train others in OSHA 10, 30, etc!! Will have direct safety oversight on infrastructure projects and will work hand in hand with client as well as OSHA and other outside agencies. Will ensure compliance with all applicable state, federal and client safety regulations while also ensuring and accident free workplace!

  • Generate and submit safety reports

  • Note and educate in regard to potential safety hazards
    • Ensure proper safety training and education on the project

  • Will be involved in areas such as crane rigging, pile driving, fall protection, traffic control, excavations, union interactions etc.

    Maintains safe and healthful environment by conducting studies and investigations; devising safe procedures and equipment.

    • Guides and promotes safe work performance by enforcing safety policies; implementing safety campaigns; training managers and employees in safe practices and first aid.

  • Eliminates or minimizes hazardous situations by developing and recommending safety policies and procedures; designing, building, and installing safety devices on machinery; designing personal safety clothing and equipment.
    • Complies with federal, state, and local safety regulations by interpreting standards; enforcing adherence to regulations; advising management on needed actions.

  • Promotes a safe work environment by coordinating and cooperating with local, state, and regional safety groups and agencies.
    • Prepares safety reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

  • Represents the organization by coordinating investigations with claims adjusters.
    • Maintains safety information data base by writing computer programs; entering and backing up data.

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
