Timpano, is an Italian chophouse concept serving dry aged steaks, chops and veal in an elegant supper club atmosphere. We are currently seeking an experienced General Manager to join our already successful team in Rockville, MD. The successful candidate will have at least five years prior management experience in high volume restaurants or hospitality environments and the desire to learn. Wine and/or beverage knowledge is a plus
Operational Responsibility
Managing all aspects of the restaurant in accordance with the goals, objectives and culture set forth by the company.
Maintain a high standard of quality with regard to product, people, sanitation and safety.
Responsible for the delegation of work, recommendation of action on team members.
Financial Performance
Oversee the achievement of all budgeted Sales and EBITDA
Continued Customer Count And Sales Growth
Oversees and ensures compliance with all weekly financial controls
Reviews both assigned schedules weekly to help control labor cost
Ensures there is accountable for successful execution of all operating systems (ordering, receiving, inventorying etc.) that impact the financial performance of the operation
Ensure proper execution of all Accounting functions (checks signed on timely basis, proper invoice coding, review comps and voids, etc.)
Staff Development
Regular team member meetings
Responsible for team member schedules
Development and implementation of Training Programs for assigned departments
Ensure proper execution of all Human Resources functions (proper interviewing, hiring, documentation, termination, performance reviews, etc.)

Quality Standards
Ensure the highest quality food, beverage and supply product
Ensure the restaurant maintains the highest quality service and hospitality
Communicate quality standards to the kitchen

Ensures proper communication on any pertinent topics from Corporate to Restaurant
