Job Description
The primary responsibility of a Lifeguard is onitor activities of swimmers/bathers in pool and Jacuzzi to ensure a safe environment and to avoid/prevent injuries, provide emergency assistance as required. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Casino Resort's policies, practices, and procedures.
Job Requirements
Minimum Employment Requirements: 18+ years or age, proof of eligibility to work in the United States, High School Diploma or equivalent, must be able to obtain a Red Cross Life Saving Certificate and Red Cross CPR Certification, effectively communicate in English both in oral and written form, interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts, maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to Venetian standards and work varied shifts which may include weekends and holidays. Specific Job Requirements: Minimum six (6) months prior experience as lifeguard/pool attendant, well groomed, speaks clearly, and a team player. Excellent guest service skills, Must maintain the physical stamina and proper mental attitude while working under pressure in a fast-paced environment, work in an area that may be unusually noisy, smoky, dimly lit or illuminated, mobility; requires prolonged sitting, standing and/or walking; normal vision range and absence of color blindness required, the use of a computer; requires eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity, the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols, work a regular work schedule, and possess the ability to lift 50 lbs.
