Our Client, a division of an international manufacturing company, specializes
in designing, developing and manufacturing advanced high frequency and plasma
welding, cutting, and heat treating equipment. They manufacture and
distribute world-wide to an international customer base. This Client has asked
Hallmark to help them hire an experienced Controls Engineer as part of their
ongoing international expansion! RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist engineering staff in
reviewing project specifications and resolving any open issues Write and
document software programs for a variety of PCs, PLCs, HMIs, and Electrical
Control Systems Generate electro-mechanical product designs including
schematics, physical layouts and wiring interconnect list using AutoCAD
software and other design software Maintain electrical design documentation
following procedures - this includes but is not limited to BOMs, AutoCAD
files, test procedures, software revisions and manuals Provide technical
assistance as required, may include on-site support Communicate and assist in
standardizing designs Responsible for programming and designing PLC controls
for new equipment Project Management on new Automation Projects Ability to
travel to Customer site when required Strong presentation skills Ability to
manage multiple projects simultaneously EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: Bachelors of
Science degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in electro-mechanical
control design 5 to 10 years of experience designing and programming state of
the art control systems Experience with HMI's, GUI's, and PLC's Knowledge of
servo drives, motors, design and troubleshooting experience of motion control
systems Knowledge of Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and Mitsubushi PLCs and the
ability to work with others necessary Strong electrical/mechanical programming
troubleshooting skills Strong communication, problem solving and follow-up
