Talascend is currently seeking a Project Support Engineer for a direct hire opportunity located in Windsor, Connecticut.

Overview

Has the responsibility to administer the documentation work flow between the home offices and the projects/client interface.

Primary Responsibility

Checking of project documentation for completion, quality and quantity within the Project Documentation Management tool (PPDM).

Coordinating with procurement and engineering for requisition work flow completion

Electronic compilation and listing of the documentation in PPDM and issuing of electronic transmittals through project system

Maintaining control over documentation delivery dates as per project schedule

Creating and maintaining the Master Site Erection Document List

Updating and maintaining project specific documentation tracking files

Supporting Document Controllers (remote or on site)

Creating new documents in STARDOC and linking of existing documents into PPDM

Supporting Lead Engineers with uploading documents into PPDM

Maintain the relevant training documentation and user manuals

Project administrative support such as generation of correspondence, maintenance of files, travel arrangements, expense report preparation, etc.

Education Requirement

Associates degree in a technical area (mechanical or electrical preferably), or 2-year technical certification program.

Requirements

Excellent computer skills, in particular MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), Outlook, and database applications.

Fluent in written and spoken Spanish preferred.

Ability to recognize priorities and handle them accordingly.

Systematic working method and reliable in reminding and execution of allocated tasks.

Proven ability to effectively organize and perform responsibilities in a fast-paced environment requiring flexibility and management of multiple priorities with tight deadlines.
