As the Chief Neurosurgery Physician Assistant, you will be managing a team of 9 plus 3 PRN PA's. The Neurosurgery Service is covered by 9 Neurosurgeon's. You will also be responsible for administrative and managerial functions of your team; providing emergency and inpatient care; first assist in the OR; and neurosurgical follow-up care. Educational/teaching responsibilities (mandatory PA school occurs bimonthly) The Chief PA will need to coordinate/assit with teaching at this PA School and train the new PA's.

Our team of PA's provide 24/7 coverage, and are first responders to neuroscience trauma patients in the ED. Care outside the OR is provided virtually house-wide including all ICU's and the ED, as well as inpatient step-down and regular units.
