Logistics Specialist - Information Flow
Purpose
Specialist for Information Flow in Bethlehem within Bosch Rexroth's lean logistics and process standardization projectDrive improvements within the logistics organization with regards to safety, quality, delivery and cost, with a special focus on Information Flow. Define and implement processes along the entire value stream (from supplier to customer) using lean principles and tools. Coordinate activities with other facilities and corporate functions. Manage improvement activities, track progress and success using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), report on a regular basis to higher management. Define and communicate logistics requirements along the entire supply chain in coordination with the respective departments. Develop tools to support daily activities within the department and support process standardization. Generate reports using SAP and Microsoft Office. Coordinate priorities, work tasks and resources to meet work demands efficiently.Respond to a large volume of verbal and written requests for information. Travel (both foreign and domestic) may be required.Perform other essential and related peripheral duties as may be assigned.
Essential Functions
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field of study from an accredited institution (ex. CHEA) and 2+ years of experience in the field of logistics or other relevant work experience. Familiar with lean logistics or lean manufacturing (e.g. Toyota or Bosch production system), process orientation. Project management experience. Knowledge of Continuous Improvement process (Keizan/Point CIP). Good command of Microsoft Office products. Working knowledge of ERP/MRP. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written & verbal). High flexibility and able to work in a Cross Functional Team oriented environment. Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills. Ability to adapt to change and new concepts.
