As an underwriter you will perform necessary credit analysis, due diligence, and review of documents for new transactions and monitor/manage ongoing performance/risk of accounts within your assigned portfolio under general direction of senior staff. You will be recognized for strong credit knowledge, policy expertise and analytical abilities. You will be a contributing member of the deal team, managing complex transactions to completion with little or no guidance from your immediate manager. You will also have customer contact and make recommendations on appropriate credit structures. Additionally, you will develop knowledge of the specifics related to the business unit product being supported and may serve as a mentor to underwriters and credit analysts.

- All references to management of accounts and approval of transactions do not apply to Business Credit as these functions are performed by their Portfolio Management Group.
- BA/BBA/MBA and completion of a major corporate bank credit training program (or the equivalent corporate banking/corporate finance experience) and typically a minimum of five years experience in banking/lending which might include credit, structuring and marketing experience
- Significant accounting and finance knowledge and commercial banking experience
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written skills, interpersonal skills, and analytical and problem solving skills
