Overview
Presbyterian Homes and Family Services is a ministry dedicated to serving the needs of children, adults and families in our community. In July 2010, PHFS merged with the Family Alliance to offer even more services and reach out to more children, adults and families in need in the communities we serve.PHFS was founded in 1903 as an orphanage, but over the years, has steered its mission to become a residential home for youth in need and intellectually disabled adults. Our Lynchburg Campus has grown to provide residential treatment for young people, an inclusive preschool, therapeutic after school programs for at-risk children adn teens and a nurturing group home for adults with intellectual disabilities.
