Overview

Cypress Hills Local Development Corporation (CHLDC) was founded in 1983 by a group of local residents and activists. We serve over 8,000 individuals each year through services including afterschool programs and summer camp, college access counseling, employment skills training and job placement, housing counseling, and affordable housing development. We also help community members organize to advocate for school and housing improvements. Our subsidiary, the Cypress Hills Child Care Corporation, provides day care and early childhood development programs for our community's youngest members.
