Overview
Baptist Retirement Community has grown from its beginning as a small hospital in 1951 into a large and the only continuum of care retirement campus in the Concho Valley area. BRC became a part of Buckner Retirement Services, Inc. in January 2010. Baptist Retirement Community consists of independent living, skilled nursing, long term care, memory care, hospice, home health, peace of mind program, outpatient therapy, and Rotary House of Hope. The independent living community is made up of two and three bedroom homes, townhouses, and apartments and suites in a five story high rise apartment building. Elsie Gayer Healthcare Center, located on the campus, consists of long term care, skilled nursing, and Rotary House of Hope. Sagecrest Alzheimer's Care Center is 52 bed memory care community plus the Green House Homes were added to Sagecrest in March 2008. These homes opened up 20 more available rooms for those with Alzheimer's and related dementia. Approximately 600 resident live on 100 acres of the BRC campus.
