NEW YORK CITY BALLET is one of the foremost dance companies in the world with an unparalleled active repertory of more than 150 works, nearly all of which were created for the Company, and many of them considered modern masterpieces.Established in 1948 by the legendary choreographer George Balanchine and arts connoisseur Lincoln Kirstein, the Company, now under the direction of Peter Martins, is home to 100 extraordinary dancers trained in the classical style.
