Overview

Community Concepts is a non-profit Community Action Agency, incorporated in 1965, providing services to families and individuals in need. As a private non profit, Community Concepts is led by a volunteer Board of Directors comprised of local Maine citizens. One-third of the members represent low-income, one third represent the private sector and one-third represent the public sector.
Community Concepts provides opportunities to improve lives in areas that include: Head Start, Child Care, Family Services, Counseling, Homeless shelters, Housing- both senior and family, Home improvement, Foreclosure counseling, Home Building and Loans, Transportation and Economic Development.
Programs are designed with Community Concepts mission in mind, giving people the opportunity to improve their lives by focusing on their strengths, building knowledge and providing support, information and resources they need to reach their goals.
